How we handle refunds and cancellations.

Refund and Cancellation policy
This policy outlines how you can cancel or seek a refund for a service purchased through the Platform.

1. Cancellation by Customer

  • Free Cancellation Window: Cancellation within 1 minute of placing the booking: No cancellation fee.
  • Charges After Driver Assignment:
    • Driver assigned but not yet arrived: Rs 15–30
    • Driver has reached pickup location: 50% of base fare
    • Driver has loaded goods / trip started: No refund (full fare charged)

2. Cancellation by Driver

Drivers may cancel for valid reasons only. Excessive cancellations may result in penalties or suspension. If cancelled by driver before pickup: customer receives full refund.

3. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be issued in the following cases:

  • Duplicate booking
  • Driver no-show
  • Overcharged fare due to system error

4. Non-Refundable Cases

  • Incorrect pickup/drop address entered by customer
  • Loading delay beyond 15-30 minutes
  • Restricted goods or improper packaging
  • Customer misuse of the platform

5. Refund Processing Timeline

  • UPI refunds: 24-48 hours
  • Bank transfers: 3–7 working days
  • Wallet refunds: Instant
  • Once the refund is approved it will take 7 Business days to credit to your original payment method.

6. Dispute Resolution

  • Customer submits complaint via app or email
  • Support reviews POD, GPS logs and driver statements within 48 hours
  • Final resolution issued within 5 working days

7. Goods Liability Disclaimer

ChhakdaWala is a platform connecting customers and independent drivers. ChhakdaWala does not insure goods unless a separate insurance plan is purchased. Liability is limited to the platform commission amount unless misconduct is proven.

8. Fare Adjustment Policy

Fare may be revised in case of:

  • Distance mismatch
  • Traffic diversions
  • Updated toll or parking charges
